Start with the player's decision
A large index is not automatically a useful reference. We organize information around real player questions: what an item does, what a build costs, where a resource appears, which systems connect, and what remains incomplete. Pass the Fear's wiki opens with the four problems players actually bring to it — identify a relic, compare weapons, decode a mechanic, plan a run — not with an alphabetical index.
Separate facts, calculations, and advice
Values taken from current game data are presented as data. Results derived from those values are described as calculations. Strategy and interpretation are labeled as guidance. Scrap Mechanic's raid calculator, for instance, reports the raid tier and bot budget as deterministic results, while the exact enemy mix is labeled a probability forecast — one tool, two clearly different kinds of answer.
Make uncertainty visible
Games contain random behavior, undocumented rules, version drift, and information that cannot yet be verified. We prefer a clear unknown, range, or probability label over a precise-looking guess. When a site is tied to a specific build or data version, that version should be visible near the information it qualifies — Scrap Mechanic's database names game build 1.0.0.867, and DragonSword: Awakening's material pages leave unverified drop rates marked instead of filled in.
Build original value
GrandWiki sites are not mirrors of another wiki. Their value comes from original organization, normalized data, interactive tools, practical explanations, and connections between systems: a blueprint analyzer that runs locally in your browser, a save reader that turns unfinished quests into a checklist, a simulator that prices a loadout before you commit to it. Short excerpts or game assets may be used where necessary to identify and explain content, with attribution and rights notices appropriate to the site.
Correct the record
A correction should be specific enough to reproduce: the page, the disputed value or claim, the current game version, and a reliable source or test when available. Send corrections to [email protected]. We review material corrections against the relevant site's data and update path.
Remain independent and transparent
GrandWiki is an independent, unofficial network. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the developers or publishers of the games covered. Editorial coverage is not sold, and advertising must not be presented as navigation or editorial recommendation. If a commercial relationship ever affects a page, that relationship must be disclosed clearly on the page itself.
